Why You Do The Things You Do

For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Many times I’m faced with the question of motive! Am I doing something to gain praise from my wife, friends, children, man or God? We are told in the Scriptures that if we build the house on any foundation other than Christ it will not stand! What R your motives http://bible.us/Gal1.10.KJV

After reading Heidi’s cotnmmes about the green lights, I found myself thinking about holy ground when I saw a green light too. I’m fortunate that I am in the church building so much during the week, so I have constant reminders. But it’s nice to remember when I’m out and about taking care of life that I should be bringing God with me and be aware of his presence and act accordingly. It really does make a difference. I’m not as stressed of the small stuff and more aware of those around me who need me to be patient, caring, and helpful. It really makes for a better day all around.
